Closed opens flagship store in Cologne
On 14th of March 2014, the denim brand Closed has opened a new flagship store in the city center of Cologne (Germany). This store opening is part of an expansion plan in Europe, where Closed currently operates 27 stores: in Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands and Spain. Cologne’s new flagship is the third Closed store in North Rhine-Westphalia, a federal state of Germany.
In collaboration with the franchise partner Robert Ley, Closed presents its latest Spring/Summer 2014 menswear and womenswear collection in Cologne. The range includes innovative denims, lightweight materials and intense prints. On its 252 square meters, the flagship features a series of different geometric architectural elements and a nuanced game with materials such as marble, solid wood and stainless steel, which emphasize the character of the fashion label. To implement the interior design of the store, Closed worked closely with the renowned architect Philipp Mainzer and the furniture designers E15.
In the first half of 2014, Closed will open five more stores in Europe.
