CHEAP MONDAY OPENS FIRST STORE IN COPENHAGENCheap Monday, the hip Swedish denim and fashion label, has opened its first store in Copenhagen. Serving up the complete Cheap Monday offer for men and women, the shop will also sell a range of specialty products. “I’m very excited to be able to present our complete collections in a solid Cheap Monday environment,” said Örjan Andersson, Founder and Creative Director of Cheap Monday. “It feels good that our first store opens in Copenhagen as we love the city and found a store space that we liked.” The 400-sq.-meter space includes a screenprinting studio where limited edition one-off prints will be produced. Swedish architecture and design agency Uglycute is responsible for the interior design, and the company’s penchant for raw, simple materials is easy to spot — a metal fence and broken particle board are among the store’s most prominent features.
