Camper Together store in Vienna

CAMPER OPENS TOGETHER STORE IN VIENNAFootwear brand Camper opened its first Together store in Vienna. The store project was realized by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. Elements existing in nature, such as plants and flowers and their ever-changing expression were the inspirations for the designer. The idea for this new Camper store, which incorporates those miraculous principles of nature, derived from the installation he presented in New York in 2007, where approximately 30,000 sheets of tissues covered the entire space to evoke a snowscape. Here, the red blossoms, which emphasize the corporate color of the brand, are in full bloom.
The principle of the Together stores is to have each different creator use his own methods to offer Camper new values. Tokujin Yoshioka explains: “As a result, I thought about creating a new value by embracing its brand identity and the originality of my design.”
Tokujin Yoshioka is one of the most interesting Japanese designers on the international scene. He worked with Shiro Kuramata in 1987 and has worked with Issey Miyake since 1988 – two great teachers who have had a significant influence on his work. In 2000, he opened his own studio, Tokujin Yoshioka Design, where he has realized projects for companies such as Hermès, Toyota and Swarovski.
