Danner boots

It’s all about boots at the Cockpit USA store in New York City for the next few weeks. The military-themed store at 652 Broadway, which is home to its own in-house contemporary menswear brand CPT (Civilian Pilot Training), is currently hosting a shop-in-shop that showcases 1940s and 1950s military-inspired footwear by five different and well-regarded boot brands: Corcoran, Danner, Palladium, Timberland Boot Company and Wolverine.

Each brand has its own display area in the store’s second floor. Product highlights include a style made with a single piece of leather by Danner, a nearly 80-year-old heritage boot company based in Portland, Oregon that has recently been discovered by such fashion stores as J. Crew and Steven Alan, and jump-inspired boots by Corcoran.

The temporary boot shop, which is Cockpit’s third ever shop-in-shop, was kicked off last week with a launch party that included cocktails, free shoe shines and shaves by Sharps Barber. The shop-in-shop will be in place at the store until November 24, 2010.

thanks for recognizing the work Cockpit does in featuring the brands we carry in our store along side the Cockpit heritage collection made in USA flight jackets and CPT by Cockpit USA fashion sportswear-quality at a price for recession conscious shoppers!
