BLUE ZONE LAUNCHES ‘TOMORROW IS TODAY’ CONCEPT

Blue Zone, Munich-based denim-dedicated textile fair, will launch a new concept for its upcoming February edition. After the first update of the Blue Zone for the previous September 2010 edition, the upcoming show (Feb. 2-3) aims at setting a new focus in terms of content and new standards for the international textile exhibition business.

Realizing the whole redesign of the Blue Zone section is Umberto Brochetto, Italian long-time denim specialist and visionary pioneer and his all-in-one team studio. He actually devised the “TisT”, the new concept initiative, within the show. “TisT“ will focus on presenting preview collections for f/w 2012/2013 within a show presenting s/s 2012 fabrics as an absolutely exclusive new season highlight, meeting the needs of the jeanswear industry. "This initiative will help creative people visiting the show that happens one month before 'mill weeks', organized by denim manufacturers, in order to show big jeanswear companies and consultants next season’s denim trends," comments Brochetto.

In the Blue Zone hall itself, distinct installations will already point the way to the weaving mills displaying preview collections. These special presentation objects will be characterised by their larger-than-life size, distinct markings, and logos. They will ensure privacy for these early developments for f/w 2012/2013. Only selected brands will be granted access to the weaving mills. Exhibitors such as Panos Sofianos, Product Developer at Spanish company Tejidos Royo and the associated research department Denim Valley, support the course started by Munich Fabric Start with the “Tomorrow is Today” concept, as he says: “Denim is an ongoing process. Our aim is to always offer customers the best, that means also early, highly up-to-date trends. This is the key for us. We will therefore present a group of items for f/w 2012/2013 that ties in with our sustainability concept while still making a clearly wintry statement.”

The show will host 47 international exhibitors registered so far, once again include such market leaders as ISKO, Bossa Denim & Sportswear, Orta Anadolu, Tejidos Royo, Hellenic Fabrics, Italdenim, ITV and Vicunha plus finishers and laundries such as Freshtex and Gonser Group, as well as full-range providers.
