BAYARD OPENS NEW STORE IN ZERMATT

Premium sports and fashion retailer Bayard in Zermatt, Switzerland, has opened a new store in the luxurious Swiss ski resort. On 380sqm, the new store that is located in the Zermatt mall, the store represents the tradition region and serves as an up-to-date fashion and ski retailer. Authentic materials like burnt old wood, in combination with old brick and natural colors, create a modern but cosy atmosphere. As a highlight, a café is also included in the store. Shop owner Gaby Bayard: “The guests who come to Zermatt don’t want to find a high-tech store. They want to have a traditional feeling.”

The shop was designed and created by shop fitter Umdasch Shop-Concept Oberentfelden together with the interior architects Dössegger&Märk.
