ATRIUM HOSTS FALLING WHISTLES EVENT TONIGHT
Atrium, Sam Ben-Avraham’s multibrand boutique on Lower Broadway, in partnership with the Project trade show, will host a special in-store event this evening from 7 to 9 pm to support the Falling Whistles campaign and its eponymous line of whistle jewelry, the 100% sale of which helps rehabilitate war-affected kids in Congo and advocate for their freedom.Falling Whistles takes its name from abducted children in Congo who are forced into the frontlines of war armed only with a whistle. Sent out to distract the enemy, they face almost certain death. To raise money, the campaign has launched a six-piece line of whistles, ranging in price from $34 to $104, that are meant to symbolize the cause and turn their wearers into so-called “whistleblowers for peace.”
The event will feature the new delivery of the whistle line, cocktails, DJ sets and the premiere of a short film about the cause called “Peace is the New Frontier.” Sportswear International is also a partner in the event.
